THERE'S A NEW SPACE COMPANY IN TOWN

SPACEPORT AMERICA, NM. October 30, 2020  —  There's an old rocket science joke that goes like this: Question: What makes rockets fly? Answer: Funding. While most rocketeers will painfully chuckle at the worn out joke, the Funding Equation is no laughing matter since it is probably the most important equation in all of rocketry. Space is expensive, and only governments (and a few equivalent billionaires) have the deep pockets necessary to properly fund a space program.

That is, until now.

Meet Tom Lawson, an entrepreneur and space enthusiast. When he stumbled upon Professor Andrew Kelly's paper on how to create a sustainable space program, he couldn't believe his luck. "I certainly did think that I had struck gold," said Lawson.

But the Professor had no idea what he was about to get himself into at the time. "Tom is a very intense and thoughtful young man," he said.

Together, the two space entrepreneurs formed a tourism company called Adventures in Outer Space that is literally out of this world.

It gets better.

They are offering the affluent of the world something rare: not only the opportunity to fly into space, but the opportunity of becoming a space entrepreneur as well. The way the company is going about it is rather interesting to say the last.

"As crazy as it sounds, we're selling tickets into space that are actually investment opportunities," began Lawson. "The ticket sales becomes the start up capital. But no one in their right mind would ever buy a ticket on the promise of a ride in the future." Lawson then smiled. "But what if you buy a ticket and then you get a new ticket every year for free for the rest of eternity?"
