LTV POWERPLANT


The lunar landing vehicle will be powered by the same Aerojet/Rocketdyne RL10C–2–1 rocket engine as the OTV. (Image A). The only major modification is the elimination of the engine nozzle extension which, unfortunately, reduces the overall Isp.

The rocket engine specifications are given in Table 1.
